Surveillance video of the suspect was released by the NYPD.

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police have identified a suspect in the rape of a 26-year-old jogger in East River Park on the Lower East Side Wednesday night.

Police are searching for 28-year-old Paul Niles.

The woman was attacked in the park, near Jackson Street, at around 7:30 p.m.

He is wanted for targeting the woman as was jogging along the footpath when he allegedly approached her and tried to engage her and then attacked, police say.

Cops say he raped her and fled the scene on a bicycle.

The woman was bruised and scraped and taken to Beth Israel Medical Center in stable condition.

Police also released surveillance video of the suspect from inside a store around the time of the attack.

Police scoured the scene but no arrests were made.
