Three churches on Long Island vandalized with satanic graffiti

NORTH AMITYVILLE, Long Island (WABC) -- Police on Long Island are searching for a vandal who targeted several churches in Suffolk County.

The churches vandalized with satanic graffiti in North Amityville are Shaw Temple AME Zion Church, Zion Gospel Church, Amityville Full Gospel Tabernacle, and Prayer Tabernacle Church of God in Christ.

Suffolk County Police say someone spray painted the graffiti sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

"Unfortunately I think they're trying to send a message like hate but they need to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior," said Pastor Willard Price of Zion Gospel Church.

Price said he would remove the graffiti in time for Sunday services.

All three cases are being investigated as a hate crime.
