Up Close: Cardinal Dolan discusses Pope's visit
Diana Williams talks with Cardinal Timothy Dolan about the upcoming visit by Pope Francis.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- We're now less than a month away from Pope Francis's visit to the United States.

The trip begins September 22rd in Washington, D.C. In just 48 hours the pope will meet with President Obama, then meet with bishops and also address a joint session of Congress.

His next stop is New York City on September 24th. He will arrive at JFK Airport, getting his first look ever at the Big Apple.

The pope leaves New York City on Saturday, September 26th for a two-day visit to Philadelphia, and that is where the focus will be on the primary purpose of the trip: the 8th World Meeting of Families.

Joining us this week to talk about the pope's visit, the preparations, and more is New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

Also this week, we remember long-time Ohio Congressman Louis Stokes, who died this past week. He is the father of Eyewitness News Anchor Lori Stokes.
