BROOKLYN, NJ (WABC) -- A flower shop owner disarmed and captured a robber on the streets of Brooklyn Friday.
Police say the suspect, 33-year-old Keith Martin, walked into A&M Flowers in the Midwood section of Brooklyn around 5:45 p.m.
Martin attempted to rob the owner, Moti Azreal Cohen, pointing a gun at his head.
After a violent struggle, authorities say Cohen knocked the gun loose from the suspect's hand, prompting Martin to flee.
Cohen, a 44-year-old father of two, chased the robber down and pinned him to the sidewalk.
He reportedly hit the suspect with his own gun, a Heritage Rough Rider .22-caliber revolver, while holding him down.
Police arrived soon after and took Martin into custody.
He is charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, assault and harassment.
