VIDEO: Woman robbed in vestibule of Upper West Side building, suspect wrestles her to ground

UPPER WEST SIDE (WABC) -- Police on the Upper West Side are searching for a man wanted in a violent robbery in the vestibule of a building.

It happened at 3:16 a.m. on Sunday, July 26.

Police say the suspect followed a 24-year-old woman into the vestibule and wrestled with her, stealing her purse out of her hands, and then he ran away.

The purse was later recovered nearby with all contents intact.
