BRENTWOOD, N.Y. -- A Long Island man has been arrested on charges of training 45 roosters for fighting.

Suffolk County police say the roosters were found Wednesday while executing a search warrant for drugs at the Brentwood home of 37-year-old Reynaldo Bonilla.

Police say Bonilla was also arrested on charges of possessing cocaine and marijuana. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.

Police say the roosters showed evidence of being trained for fighting.

The roosters were removed from the property by SPCA officers.
