6 injured as fire races through home in Sayreville, NJ
SAYREVILLE (WABC) -- Six people were injured, three critically, after flames tore through a home in Sayreville New Jersey Monday morning.
The fire was so intense, two residents jumped from a second-story window. Other people were rescued from the roof.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. inside the home on Main Street at Quaid Avenue.

Responding officers found an 83-year old man lying unconscious on the floor of a room at the rear of the home.
He is in critical condition at St. Barnabas Medical Center, along with a 19-year old woman who jumped from a window, and a 56-year old woman who was rescued with a ladder from a second-story window.
Authorities say a neighbor, Edward Gordon, retrieved a ladder and placed it in front of the home to help two men trapped on a second floor roof.
There is heavy damage on the second and third floors of the home as well as the roof.
A section of Main Street was closed between Pulaski Avenue and Schmidt Street.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
