Shaq teams up with Mayor Ras Baraka for Newark high school basketball tournament

NEWARK (WABC) -- Newark was hit with a Shaq Attack on Saturday!

The basketball legend returned to his hometown, teaming up with Mayor Ras Baraka to co-host a basketball tournament for high school students.

The event, called the "Believe in Newark" 3-on-3 Tournament, took place on Broad Street in front of City Hall.

Shaquille left Newark in high school, but maintained a presence in the city throughout his career.
