Shots fired into homes in NJ neighborhood
Anthony Johnson reports after several homes on Rose Avenue in Jersey City were left with bullet holes in the walls

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police are investigating a frightening shooting incident in New Jersey Monday.

It appeared at least six shots were fired in a residential neighborhood in Jersey City.

Several homes on Rose Avenue were left with bullet holes in the walls.

One shot barely missed a grandmother sitting in her own living room. "I just heard the shots and saw where the bullet came in," said the woman, Iris Cueto. "Missed me by a few inches."

The shots came through at the spot where her grandchild usually sits while being watched by the grandparents.

"My daughter is three years old," said the mother, Erica Cueto. "She sits right there where the bullet went through. She usually sits there and plays with the tablet, so we're trying to figure out the way it's angled, if she was sitting there it would have hit her directly in the head."

A car parked on the street was also sprayed by gunfire.

At this point there have been no arrests and there are no suspects.
