More from the Brooklyn Festival Press release:

The city's largest free literary festival launched in 2006 as a start-up festival presenting local authors; it has grown exponentially into one of the country's premier international book festivals, drawing tens of thousands each year to the global creative capital of Brooklyn, NYC. Attendees can stroll through the vibrant outdoor literary marketplace with nearly 200 independent booksellers and publishers.

In 2015, the Brooklyn Book Festival will run from September 14th through September 21st, including Bookend events beyond Brooklyn and a new Children's Day, on September 19th.

The Brooklyn Book Festival is as international as New York City itself! This year's slate of authors represent nations and cultures the world over- Mexico (Yuri Herrera, Valeria Luiselli, Mario Bellatin, Guadelupe Nettel and Juan Villoro) to Barbados (Naomi Jackson), Trinidad/Canada (Andre Alexis), Congo (Fiston Mwanza Mujila) Bosnia/USA (Aleksander Hemon), Hungary (Lszl Krasznahorkai), Israel (Yitzhak Gormezano Goren), Bulgaria (Georgi Gospodinov), Argentina (Andres Neuman), Chile (Alejandro Zambra), France (Pierre Lemaitre), Indonesia (Eka Kurniawan), India (Aatish Taseer), Switzerland (Christian Kracht), and more.
