TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Are characters in Times Square going out of bounds again?

Officials say the colorful superheroes and clothing-optional women are turning up the heat on tourists to try to make a buck.

They're supposed to stay within certain designated areas among the crowds, but some say they're venturing out of their boundaries.
