Author advocates childless woman take a ME-ternity
The idea of the ME-ternity is stirring controversy

Do people without children deserve a leave from work?

Author Meghann Foye focuses on the subject in a new book, and her position is getting a lot of attention.

Foye says she was burned out from work, so she decided to take, as she calls it, a 'ME-ternity leave.'

She's pushing other childless people to take one, too.

In an article from the New York Post, Foye explains "it seemed that parenthood was the only path that provided 'a modicum of flexibility' that allowed her co-workers to leave at a designated time.

Adding that maternity leave gave women "a whole new lens through which to see their lives."

As you can imagine, her comments have struck a nerve online with angry mothers raging that maternity leave is hardly a retreat.
