Arizona State coach Herb Sendek is expected to learn if he will be relieved of his duties at a Tuesday morning meeting with athletic director Ray Anderson, multiple sources told ESPN Monday night.

A number of industry sources told ESPN that staff members have already leaked that they expect Sendek to be fired. But ESPN was unable to confirm that late Monday and calls and text messages to Sendek weren't returned.

Sendek has been with the Sun Devils for nine seasons and gone to the NCAA tournament in 2009 and '14. The Sun Devils have beaten rival Arizona the past two seasons in Tempe. ASU was 18-16 overall this season, 9-9 in the Pac-12 and lost at Richmond in overtime in the second round of the NIT after winning at UConn.

If the Sun Devils move on Sendek, a number of names have already emerged as possible candidates, including Memphis coach Josh Pastner and UC Irvine's Russell Turner.

Sendek's contract was extended by one year to June 30, 2017 by the board of regents earlier in the season.
