Giants offense simply offensive

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Odell Beckham Jr. is back, so the Giants have no more excuses.

Let's be honest, for a team that has Super Bowl aspirations their play in the opening two weeks has been nothing less than awful. They rank in the bottom of nearly every offensive category. So who's to blame here? The answer is really quite simple, it starts at the top.

Look no further than General Manager Jerry Reese. He knew the offensive line was the weak link of this team. Reese did absolutely nothing to improve the unit. He felt a year of experience would help, he was wrong.

In particular, former first round pick Erik Flowers has been a bust. It's time to move him from left tackle and just maybe he can still have a career. Reese brought in Brandon Marshall to give some veteran help for Beckham, instead he's been invisible except when he's dropping passes.

Reese also decided that inexperienced Paul Perkins would lead the running game; he has shown no signs of that happening.

Eli Manning has led this team to two Super Bowl titles, but now at age 36 there is doubt he can do it again. Eli has never been the most accurate thrower and his lack of foot speed is starting to catch up with him.

The Giants offense has not scored over 20 points in over one full season. Despite a good defense, it?s time for the offense pulls its weight. If not there will be a lot more boo birds at the Meadowlands this season.
