Kristaps Porzingis leaves game with thigh contusion after collision

NEW YORK --Knicksforward Kristaps Porzingis left Tuesday night's 87-81 win over the Pacersin the second half with a left thigh contusion and did not return.

Porzingis suffered the ailment early in the fourth quarter during a collision with Indiana'sMonta Ellis.

After the game, Porzingis said his injury felt stiff at the moment but he didn't believe it was serious.

Porzingis seemed to be in considerable pain and was helped off the floor by teammate Willy Hernangomez and a Knicks trainer.

Porzingis, a second-year forward, is averaging 18 points, seven rebounds and two blocks on the season.

The Knicks are well out of the playoff race and will likely take a cautious approach with Porzingis' injury. New York plays next againstBrooklynon Thursday.
