KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WABC) -- The dedicated Mets fans who ventured off to Kansas City to cheer on the team to a World Championship are out exploring the town. One must-see attraction in Kansas City - especially for baseball fans - is the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

The World Series has caused an influx of visitors to this place filled with history of the sport. It's a powerful exhibit where visitors are initially separated from life-size bronze sculptures of legendary players, symbolizing the segregation that prevented black superstars from joining the major leagues. But after traveling through the museum, the field opens up just as baseball did when Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier.

After walking around the museum, it's time to eat. Mets fans descended on Joe's Kansas City Barbecue.

The line was out the door with a lot of blue and orange on display. There were plenty of ribs and tender pulled pork for Mets fans trying to eat away their sorrows after the Game 1 loss.
