Water main break on Staten Island causes partial street collapse

WILLOWBROOK (WABC) -- Crews are on the scene of a water main break in the Willowbrook section of Staten Island.

The eight inch main broke just after 2 p.m. at Harold Street and Washington Avenue. The main dates back to 1967.

A small section of street collapsed.

27 homes are currently without water.

DEP crews are on scene making repairs, and working to restore water service as soon as possible.

The street is partially open to cars.
