MOTT HAVEN (WABC) -- The NYPD is looking for the three muggers who attacked and robbed a man leaving work in the Bronx.
It was a very scary situation for very little return.
The biggest clue for police is that the attack was caught on camera.
After a long day's work at this family owned restaurant, the victim was suddenly confronted with a gun in his face by three strangers demanding his chain.
It was a close call all captured on nearby surveillance cameras and now police are asking for your help.
It started as a day like any other for Santiago Martinez who works in the kitchen of his brother's restaurant on Brook Avenue in the Bronx.
But when it came time to close up shop later that night, he suddenly found himself fearing for his life.
"I was closing the gate, and I go back into the store. Then when I leave, I see the guys outside hanging out. According to the cops, they were out there for over 30 minutes waiting," Martinez said.
Nearby surveillance cameras captured each suspect as they circled in and targeted the victim as he was lowering the security gate.
The victim who is blurred at the bottom of the video even tries to fight off one the men until another approached with a gun visibly at his waist.
"When I left the store they pulled out a gun, they pulled out a gun! But I confronted them and hit one with a lock and they ran off. We hit their Jeep with a lock and broke the glass. The lock landed over there," Martinez said.
The altercation continued until several other witnesses seem to scare the suspects off, but not before one got away with the victims chain.
Now police are hoping someone with recognize one of these three suspects and give them a call at Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
