NEW YORK (WABC) --
Have you updated your Instagram yet? On Tuesday, the app announced a new feature called 'Instagram Stories'.On Instagram's Blog, developers describe the update as "...a new feature that lets you share all the moments of your day, not just the ones you want to keep on your profile."
When you feature multiple photos and videos on your story, they will appear together in a slideshow format, and will disappear after 24 hours. You can also enhance your photos with text and drawing tools.
Sound exactly like Snapchat? Many people who weighed in on social media were not happy.
Instagram stories is like that girl that copied you in high school but was always a year late on it

There's no need for Instagram to have stories if there's snapchat 🙄🙄

Not everyone on social media was upset - some even suggested that the new update would be the death of Snapchat.
