FARMINGVILLE, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old Long Island man is accused of touching teen in two separate incidents.

Police say both occurred at separate fire department events.

Police say the suspect, 24-year-old Justin Russo, is a volunteer firefighter in the Farmingville Fire Department and a special education teacher at the Sachem school district.

Newsday says he allegedly touched a 15-year-old girl while both were volunteering at a haunted mansion fundraiser on Saturday.

Police say an investigation also revealed that Russo had inappropriately touched a woman last July at another fire department event in Selden.

Russo's attorney says his client surrendered voluntarily to police on Saturday and volunteered to take a polygraph test.

The Sachem school district has placed Russo on administrative leave with pay.
