FARMINGDALE (WABC) -- Police are investigating a burglary over the weekend at a mosque on Long Island.
According to detectives, a man entered the Masjid Bilal Mosque on Fulton Street in Farmingdale at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday through an unlocked rear window.
Authorities say he attempted to remove two donation boxes mounted into a wall.
The suspect is described as 20-25 years of age, approximately 5'10" tall, 180 pounds, wearing dark jeans, a dark hooded jacket and work boots.
He left the scene through a glass pedestrian door, police say. There were no proceeds.
