NEW YORK (WABC) -- Two pedestrians were injured Monday afternoon after a car jumped a curb on the East Side of Manhattan.

The accident happened at about 4:30 at 48th Street and Second Avenue.

The car went onto the curb after the driver said he was cut off by a blue 4-door Nissan Maxima and had to swerve.

The pedestrians were both females. One suffered minor injuries while the other suffered a serious leg injury.

Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital.

Police are looking for a blue vehicle that apparently cut off the driver.
