Thruway Authority to credit 35,000 E-ZPass users overbilled at Harriman toll plaza

NEW YORK -- The Thruway Authority says it will credit the accounts of about 35,000 E-ZPass customers who were overbilled by a small amount when they drove northbound on the highway entering from state Route 17 in Woodbury.

According to the authority, it has corrected the electronic error at the Harriman toll barrier that occurred between Aug. 14 and Sept. 5.

Cash customers weren't affected.

Those inadvertently overbilled should be credited automatically on their next E-ZPass statements.
