DEER PARK (WABC) -- A van went out of control on Long Island Tuesday and struck a tree, leaving six people injured.
Suffolk County Police say the accident happened at 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of Old Country Road and Deer Park Ave in Deer Park.
There were six minor injuries, with four people taken to to Good Samaritan Hospital and two to Southside Hospital.
The van, operated by DBA Transportation, was transporting disabled adults. It was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
Streets in the area are closed off as police investigate the accident.
