ATLANTIC TERMINAL, Brooklyn (WABC) -- The commute for LIRR riders started off rough Monday, after signal issues caused a portion of a main line to shut down.

The suspension impacted train service between Atlantic Terminal and Jamaica.

The issue started at around 4 p.m. and lasted for about 45 minutes.

The LIRR cross-honored fares with the 2/3 subway line at Atlantic Terminal and Penn Station.
