Man says he was pushed onto train tracks at Manhattan subway station

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- The search is on for the man who pushed another man onto the subway tracks on the Lower East Side early Thursday morning.

It happened at about 3:45 a.m. at the East Broadway F train station near the Rutgers/East Broadway intersection.

The victim, a 58-year-old man said another man pushed him onto the tracks while he was standing on the platform.

The victim was not struck by a train. He was taken to the hospital to get checked out.

The man who pushed him got away on a nearby F train.
