Out-of-control taxi slams into Midtown scaffold

MIDTOWN (WABC) -- An out-of-control taxi crashed into scaffold in Midtown early Monday.

The driver lost control and crashed on Fifth Avenue just before 2 a.m.

The driver was not injured.

The taxi was towed away, and inspectors from the Department of Buildings will evaluate the structural integrity of the scaffolding.

The cause of the crash was under investigation
