Overturned truck causes major delays on NJ Turnpike at Exit 12

CARTERET, N.J. -- An overturned tractor trailer caused major delays Tuesday on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 12 in Carteret.

The accident happened at 10:36 a.m. at milepost 96.

All lanes northbound were closed for a couple of hours, but everything was cleared after 3 p.m.

The truck appeared to be carrying glass which covered the roadway.

No injuries were reported.
