Pedestrian struck and killed while walking on Bruckner Expessway

CASTLE HILL (WABC) -- Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed while crossing the Bruckner Expressway.

It happened around 10:30 Saturday night in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx.

Police say 29-year old Caje Dawkins was walking in the eastbound lanes near Castle Hill Avenue when he was hit by a Lexus RX traveling northbound on the Bruckner.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver stayed on the scene and is not facing charges.
