Long Island Uber driver arrested over alleged relationship with minor

LONG ISLAND (WABC) -- An Uber driver on Long Island is under arrest and facing charges for allegedly having sex with a minor.

Police say 33-year-old Steven Palmer picked up the 17-year-old last December, and she was reportedly so upset that they pulled over to talk.

The two ended up having a sexual relationship that lasted over the span of several meetings, authorities said.

Palmer is charged with third-degree statutory rape.
