NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are searching for a group of belligerent teenagers in Brooklyn.

The boys were caught on camera repeatedly slapping an Uber driver in the head, when the driver refused to take them to their destination.

The video shows what appears to be a group of young men slapping around an Uber driver in the back of his head.

And the back story we are told is the Uber driver refused to drive them.

Imagine that with the behavior you see in the video.

It appears that the young men took him and locked him into his own car in order to assault him.

In the video, you can see they are getting quite a kick out of themselves at the expense of this Uber driver who doesn't fight back.

It's unclear when this happened or where, Uber says they are trying get in touch with the driver.

They don't know who he is. They really want him to come forward.

Tony Herbert, a community activist in Brooklyn, is outraged.

"My brother is an Uber driver and I have great concern, they want to make money and take care of their families and are being set upon by these people that need to be in jail," Herbert said.

A spokesperson for Uber told Eyewitness News, "This is a deplorable incident and we will do everything we can to assist our valued driver partner. We are currently investigating and stand ready to assist the NYPD in bringing these individuals to justice."

You can help in doing that; obviously, there's a pretty good picture of those guys from the video.

If you know them, you know who they are, if you have seen them before, you are asked to call the NYPD.
