Former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton traveled to Iowa and then to New Hampshire this week as she launches her run for office.

This time, Clinton is trying to run a very different campaign than the one she ran in 2008, when she lost to lesser-known candidate, Barack Obama.

But will this new strategy get her to the White House?

It's 15 months until the political conventions. That's a lifetime in politics, but Clinton is on a kind of listening tour, similar to what she did during her first run for U.S. Senate in New York.

On Sunday, Eyewitness News anchor Bill Ritter spoke with the man who ran against her back in 2000, former Rep. Rick Lazio.

New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who has served in Congress for 22-plus years, said Clinton is the most qualified of anyone in the race right now.

"She will be the Democratic nominee, and I believe she will shatter that last glass ceiling," said Maloney.

Maloney called Clinton a "consensus-builder," and noted her emphasis on an economy that works for most Americans, and provides an opportunity for the American Dream for the next generation.

Political expert Hank Sheinkopf, Democratic Party consultant, has worked with and for the Clintons, and Jeanne Zaino, a political science professor at Iona College, teaches campaign management at New York University and also writes extensively about politics.
