HOUSTON -- He did his best performing "on" stage, but one high school drama student stole the show for something that landed him "off" stage during the annual Tommy Tune Awards Tuesday night at the Hobby Center -- and it was all captured on video.
Kinkaid School student Harrison Poe approached the stage moments after KTRK anchor Tom Koch announced his best supporting actor award. As Poe climbed steps to the stage to receive his award, he fell into the orchestra pit.
Realizing there was more important business at hand, Poe jumped up, brushed himself off, and proceeded to the podium to accept the award he not only earned, but also took the fall for.
Laughing it off, Poe proclaimed "I'm alive" before walking off-stage with his well-deserved award.
The 13th Annual Tommy Tune Awards will air on ABC-13 on Sun, June 21 at 12pm.
