Lack of rain having serious effects on northern, central sections of New Jersey

RINGWOOD, New Jersey -- A lack of rain is having serious effects on the northern and central sections of New Jersey.

Serious drought conditions persist, and the state's drinking water supply is dropping.

Additionally, a dozen reservoirs are operating at about half their capacity.
