ENGLEWOOD, N.J. (WABC) -- Some brave police officers in New Jersey risked their lives to save a woman trapped in a burning car.
Englewood Cliffs police rushed to the scene of a car crash on Hudson Terrace on Thursday.
The woman's car hit a utility pole, rolled over and caught fire. The pole also toppled over, sending live electric wires onto the street.
The officers saw the woman struggling to escape and despite the danger, broke her rear window and pulled her out.
The police chief says the woman could have easily burned to death. Instead, she was treated at the hospital and released.
The officers were not hurt.
