Woman charged with driving drunk with child in car in Yaphank

YAPHANK, N.Y. (WABC) -- A Long Island woman accused of driving drunk with a teenager in the car will face a judge Tuesday morning.

Colleen Lopez, 47, was driving a 2003 Chevy Tahoe on Patchogue Yaphank Road in April when she was pulled her over for failure to maintain her lane, police said.

Lopez, of Rocky Point, had a 13-year-old girl was in the car with her. She will be arraigned Tuesday.

Police charged Lopez with DWI under Leandra's Law and endangering the welfare of a child.

The child was turned over to a responsible adult.
