HELL'S KITCHEN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have arrested a man who they said threw a Molotov cocktail at a business in Manhattan last week.
Thomas Miles, 53, of Queens, was charged attempted murder, attempted felony assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
On Oct. 9, at a business near the intersection of Ninth Avenue and 37th Street in Hell's Kitchen, police said a man who appeared to be intoxicated threw a Molotov cocktail and shouted, "I'll come back with a knife and kill you."
Two Yeshiva students were in front of a business, and police at first considered it an anti-Semitic attack, but have since determined it was an attack on the business.
The bottle, which may have contained alcohol, burst about 3 feet away from the two students. The contents combusted and started a small fire. The two students were not hurt.
The fire was quickly put out by the business owner, while the man who threw it took off.
