Judge set to approve $23 million settlement for Bernie Madoff victims

Wednesday, July 26, 2017
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A judge is set to approve a $23 million settlement on Wednesday for victims of Bernie Madoff.

The money and assets were recovered from the estates of Madoff's deceased sons and his daughter-in-law.

Half of the money will go to the federal fund for victims, which has already recouped $9 billion.

A bankruptcy judge will likely approve the deal.
