A gun and an unknown caliber shell casing were recovered at the scene.

Neighbors said the lounge has been trouble since it opened about two years ago.

"That doesn't belong on this block, this is family living here," one neighbor said.

Residents worry the cycle of violence will drag on over the hot summer.

"There's no making this area safe," neighbor Angelo Maestre said.
