The victim was stabbed once in the torso before he was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he is fighting for his life.

The suspect took off westbound on Randall Avenue, possibly in a vehicle. Police have not yet determined a motive.

Randall Avenue cuts through a NYCHA complex where it is a quiet, residential neighborhood.

There was a white car parked on the street that was covered in blood from its roof down its the passenger side doors, suggesting perhaps the victim collapsed onto the parked car.

There was also crime scene tape inside the lobby of the NYCHA building across the street. It is unclear at this point if it had anything to do with the stabbing or if it was part of the crime scene.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
