EAST TREMONT, Bronx (WABC) -- A man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his neighbor to death in the Bronx.

The fight broke out on Elsmere Place in the East Tremont section of the Bronx on Friday morning.

Police found 27-year-old Tyquan Pleasant unconscious outside a second-floor apartment just before 2 a.m.

He was suffering from stab wounds to the back.

The victim's 25-year-old neighbor, Shaun Pyles, was arrested. He has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

The two live across the hallway from each other and have made prior noise complaints amid a long-standing history of disputes.

The suspect was playing music loudly and the victim, who has two young kids, attempted to get him to turn it down. The confrontation led to the deadly stabbing, police say.

Residents from the floor said the arguments about loud music were ongoing.

They're now left with questions and traumatized after what they saw.

"I just can't get it out of my head, his face, I looked into his eyes for 30 minutes, trying to save the man and he died," a neighbor said.

Authorities say they recovered a knife at the scene.
