FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A second man has been arrested in the brutal beating of another man at a fast food spot in Brooklyn.

Keshan John, 21, of Brooklyn, is charged with gang assault, assault and menacing.

Police said an argument began when the victim offered to help pay for his attackers' meal. Two men pummeled the victim with their fists, and his own cane, inside a Texas Chicken and Burgers in Flatbush on March 1.

Two other men who had just walked in, joined the attack, then a fifth man entered and appeared to rob the victim, police said. The 37-year-old victim suffered broken bones, cuts and bruises.

Last week, Kariem Roberts, 21, of Brooklyn, was charged with robbery, gang assault and menacing in connection with the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
