ROSELLE, New Jersey (WABC) -- A car slammed into the side of a house in New Jersey and hit a gas line.
It happened Tuesday afternoon on Vine Street in Roselle.

A witness said two cars were trying to beat each other to the corner to make a turn, they were speeding, and that's when the Honda lost control and crashed into the house.
Engineers are checking the structural integrity of the house.

Three nearby houses were forced to evacuate because of the hit gas line.
