Police say the decomposed body of an unidentified adult male, wearing pants and shoes but no shirt, was found by a park worker in The Pond at 59th Street and Fifth Avenue just after 7:30 a.m.

There were no obvious signs of trauma. The man appeared to be in his 30's, said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce, adding that he had been in the water one or two weeks and that his identification was found in his pants pocket.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Boyce said police do not believe there was any criminality involved in either case.

On Tuesday, the body of a male appearing to be in his 20's or 30's was found in the water at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in the park, police said.
The discovery was made by maintenance workers near East 87th Street and East Drive around 12:30 p.m.
The body was floating face down in the water and had been there about a month.
There were no obvious signs of trauma, police said.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of either man.
Until now, a body had not been recovered from water in Central Park since 2015.
