Man arrested, charged for stealing car with child inside in NYC
He's accused of stealing a car with a child inside and has been charged with robbery, grand larceny, vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a vehicle, unlawful imprisonment and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
The incident was first reported Friday around 3:45 p.m. near 3rd Avenue and 30th Street.
The child's mother was loading the car at the time it was stolen. A 2-year-old girl, wearing a pink dress, was inside the vehicle.

Citizen App video showed a helicopter hovering over the crime scene.

NYPD pulled over the 33-year-old suspect on the eastbound Brooklyn Queens Expressway just before Flushing Avenue Exit 30.
He was taken into custody and had just dropped the child off at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The child is OK but will likely be taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Her mother was taken to the hospital, distraught over what happened.
