7-year-old Jayden was supposed to be starting extended summer school Wednesday morning.
"He's not going anywhere. He's staying in my arms, because it's a relief because my worst nightmare is that my son is going to get stolen," said Avionne King, Jayden's mother.
The King family's nightmare began early Wednesday morning. Their ring camera video captured it all.
Jayden's father, Dwayne King, strapped his son in the backseat of his black Mercedes in the driveway, and then walked to the end of the driveway to get the recycling container, and took it to the back.
"And as soon as he started to walk back, a blue car drove up, a guy jumped out, put on a mask, and drove right off," she said. "My husband ran towards them on Sanford Avenue, and then turned back around, ran inside, got my car, and yelled inside to call the police."
The car was gone with Jayden, who is non-verbal, quiet in the back seat.
"The people apparently didn't realize Jayden was in the car and abandoned it on the street," she said.

Meantime, Irvington police units were already out, searching for both cars.
Avionne says a neighbor a few blocks away at Grant Place and Laurel Avenue saw the car with the motor still running.
The door opened and thought that was odd and decided to watch the car, unaware as well, that Jayden was inside.
Minutes later, an Irvington cop spotted the car.
"He said all I did was open the car and Jayden just jumped right out and went with him, that's it," Avionne said. "The only problem is because Jayden can't talk, he can't communicate, he has no nothing that he can do, Jayden will go with strangers. I just thank God that the person he went with was a cop."
The car thieves are still on the run.
