COLUMBUS CIRCLE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A controversial statue of Christopher Columbus will not be moved from one of Manhattan's most prominent neighborhoods.

The statue at Columbus Circle will not be removed. The city decided to keep the statue after a 90-day review that included public hearings held in every borough.

The same omission is recommending that most questionable statues - that some consider symbols of hate, should remain.
