Up Close: Alleged Trump Administration ties to Russia

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Congress is debating how or if to conduct investigations into the Trump Administration's ties, real or possible, into Russia, while also discussing increases in defense spending, cuts in domestic programs, and cuts in the State Department.

Our guest is New York Congressman Eliot Engel, one of the Democrats calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign.

Also, the alarms are sounding just about everywhere, especially in the suburbs, where heroin use and addiction, and abuse of the bigger class of opiates, is now a crisis situation.

We talk to one woman who is leading the charge against heroin addiction on Long Island, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
