The 2016 Alisport Silent 2 Electro glider out of Danbury Municipal Airport lost power and had to make an emergency landing which took it into the home's roof, according to the Danbury Fire Department.
The pilot suffered minor injuries and was taken to Danbury Hospital Center. No one else was on board.
Vinicio Deolidrei's wife and two daughters were home. "She was on the second floor and two daughters were outside playing," he said. "She heard something in the roof and run downstairs to see the kids OK or not. And the neighbor knocked the door to tell what's going on."
The woman and children were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The family will have to find another home for awhile, but they are relieved no one was hurt.
"I'm happy because my family's OK," said Deolidrei. "That's the important thing."
