Study: Dogs love reggae music

If your dog's feeling a little down all you have to do is pull out that old Bob Marley record and play it for your pooch, a study suggests that dogs love the smooth, hypnotic sounds of reggae.

SCOTLAND -- If you want to soothe the soul of the family dog new research says one kind of music beats the rest.

Researchers at the Scottish SPCA and University of Glasgow have found that the hypnotic rhythms of reggae have a positive effect on a dog's mood.

They say soft rock also helps them relax.

The study comes two years previous research by the same group showed classical music had a calming effect on dogs.
